RENTAL POLICIES Safety Rules Groups spending time at Mount Traber Bible Camp must make safety their priority. Safety is a matter of common sense. If something seems dangerous or risky, it probably is. Participants are responsible for their own insurance, and, by signing the facility use agreement, waive all right of action against Mount Traber Bible Camp. Check-in/out Time Groups do not have access to the camp facilities or buildings until the scheduled check-in time of 7:00 p.m., if coming in for a weekend rental. No food or belongings can be dropped off prior to check-in. Groups are asked to depart from the camp by 2:00 p.m. on the last day of their rental. (All times are negotiable, but must be approved by Debbie in advance.) Animals/Pets Please leave your pets at home. Pets are not allowed on the premises, other than helper animals which may be allowed to accompany their owners by prior arrangement. Smoking, Drugs, and Alcohol The camp is a smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol-free facility. Use of tobacco products, non-prescription drugs or alcohol is strictly forbidden. Cleaning Participants are responsible for leaving the facilities in the same condition (or better!) in which they were found. This includes the grounds and the rooms. All trash is to be disposed of in designated containers. All materials that can be recycled, including cans, glass, plastic bottles and newsprint, must be cleaned and disposed of. Chaperones Same sex chaperones are required for any participants that are not over 18 years of age. Attire Guidelines We kindly ask that all visitors be modestly dressed, suitable for the season. Your group may not be the only users of the camp during your stay. Quiet Hours We observe quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Please respect the feelings of others on the property. Pool The pool is not included in the facility available to rental groups. However, by prior arrangement, the pool can be made available if a certified lifeguard is provided or arranged as part of the rental agreement. The Lifeguards at the pool will enforce the rules below, as well as other rules posted at the pool. If the pool is expressly included in the rental, the following rules will apply: 1. Any person may be barred from the pool area for violation of rules and regulations at the discretion of the attendant(s)/lifeguard(s) in charge. 2. Disrespect for the authority of the LIFEGUARD will not be tolerated. 3. We reserve the right to limit the number of guests admitted when, in our opinion, the pool is overcrowded. 4. Children, 12 years of age or under, are not permitted in the pool area without an accompanying adult. 5. Admission can be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eye infections or wearing bandages. 6. Food and beverages are not to be brought into the pool deck area. 7. Running, rough play, and conduct not conducive to safety are prohibited in the pool and pool area. 8. No diving allowed. Fire Wood is provided for use only at the designated firepit. Do not gather your own wood. Should you need additional firewood, contact the staff. All fire preparations must be supervised by camp staff. Do not build a fire larger than you can control. Tampering with fire-fighting equipment, turning in a false alarm or engaging in behavior that constitutes a significant fire hazard are not permitted. Hiking The camp is a hilly, wooded area with streams. Caution is necessary to avoid slipping or falling when hiking on trails or roads. Parking Guests must park in the designated parking area in front of the lodge and use the paths and the footbridge to access other areas of the facility. Stewardship Mount Traber Bible Camp is committed to preserving the land at the camp as far as possible in its natural condition. Guests are asked to respect all the plant life, animals, soil and water on the premises. This includes taking care to not cut trees, break off limbs, dig up plants, damage trails, or pollute or disturb waterways. Hunting of animals is strictly forbidden. Guests may not use any motorized vehicle on the campgrounds, including "dirt bikes," snowmobiles, or "off-road" machines. No littering of any kind is permitted. Additional Buildings There are a number of small storage buildings. You are welcome to use all of the common areas of the grounds. However, the storage buildings are off limits and not included in your rental agreement. The Rules and Guidelines herein are not exhaustive and are subject to change.
